Never despise the day of small beginnings!

Dear Tribe,

I hope you are well wherever you are today. 😊

Every day, all around the world, something small is happening. It may be so insignificant that few people pay attention to it. However, to those whose lives it may impact, it will not go unnoticed. The announcement of a new life—a human life celebrating a new beginning…a baby formed from almost nothing.

Seeds are sown, and although they die in the ground before life springs forth, they are so tiny that we do not see their power to feed multitudes. No one looks at a tomato pit and considers a future of canned tomatoes, tomato-based pizzas, and a gorgeous salad. All we see is something very insignificant. Something so small, it has no voice of its own and gets despised more often than recognized.

That’s life. Do you have a dream in your heart? It may be small and you don’t even dare to think of it too often and definitely not to tell anyone who may laugh at your imagination. Why? Because people often despise that which they cannot comprehend. This is truly foolish because was it not for the dream in a man called Benjamin Franklin’s heart to develop the power of electricity, we would not have had the luxury of it today. In the same sense, there was Thomas Edison with the light bulb. All things we take for granted but were once despised as impossible.

Many of us dream about making a lasting difference in life. However, not many are willing to be scolded for it. It starts with the little things. Perhaps we can make a difference in someone else’s life by merely being there when they need us or sharing valuable information where there is a lack of it.

Yet, as it is not considered necessary, we do not pursue it and stay in our comfort zone. Everything starts small. To invent big things, you need the discipline to study and become a great scientist, as Franklin did. It means improving ourselves and our own habits first, then we can start to impact more and more other people.

Dreaming is what we do when we sleep, and action happens when we wake up! Put your dreams into action. Start at the beginning and continue the day with small beginnings. Protect it, nurture it, and give it time to grow. Just as a baby takes time to grow before it sees its first day, our dreams need time to grow and take form in our minds. Then, it will grow and become more prominent with time! Dream big, Tribe! You are not just another person; you are unique, and nothing is impossible for determined people.

Have a great October!

Love Miskyah.
