Dear Tribe,

Although The Tribe magazine started as my project four years ago and is still very close to my heart, I am so pleased with our team working to bring you good news every month! Due to a hectic schedule, the final draft copy is always sent to me for approval. When I read through it today, I was again in awe of the content and inspiration forming part of it, seeing our staff shining in their roles and having the privilege to celebrate your birthdays with you every month. Well done, Tribe magazine team!

It was Women’s Month, and the determined power of women, housed in excellence and beauty, will never cease to amaze me—from the kitchen to the boardroom, the lounge with family to the workstation, and from the garden to the sports field!

As a mother and a businesswoman, I am acutely aware of the challenges women face daily. The inner conflict that arises when we are confronted with tasks that most people would rather avoid is a familiar struggle. Yet, I am constantly inspired by the resilience of women in all spheres of life, who continue to fight for a better life and recognition. The yearning of single parents for a shared burden is a sentiment that is all too real. It’s time we acknowledge these challenges and work towards a more supportive society.

Regardless of what we face daily, let’s adopt a mindset of bravery. Remember that circumstances change constantly; if something is not pleasant now, it will turn when we are determined to change our circumstances. This doesn’t mean we won’t have challenges, but great challenges only lead to greater victory when we master our fears and refuse to give up. To be brave means to be ready to face and endure danger and pain, showing courage. Why talk about bravery and not beauty to our lovely ladies? I believe that a brave woman is beautiful. She becomes a comfort to many, and while she fearlessly moves forward every day, her beauty and brilliance bring true satisfaction.

Keep going, stay brave, and continue to shine on everyone! Life is a choice.

With love.
